About the role
After The Bell Aus Outside School Hours Care at Weeden Heights Primary School is looking for an experienced Qualified Assistant Educator to join our supportive and compassionate team at our OSHC childcare environment. Join the team and use your Certificate/Diploma or study qualifications to help nurture and support a rewarding program for school-aged children!
Salary:
Casual work with a minimum of 6 hours per week and more hours in school holidays with an hourly rate range from $37+ per hour (depending on experience and qualification status) and superannuation additional to the hourly rate.
**Must be able to work in the Before School Care (7am till 9am), After School Care (2.30pm till 6pm) & Vacation Care program between Tuesday to Friday (split shift allowance)
The duties, experience, and responsibilities include:

• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
• Ability and willingness to learn policies and procedures for the child care industry.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Complete and evaluate the daily/ weekly care routines and programs for individual children and groups.
• Build meaningful, trusting, and respectful relationships with children and their caregivers.
• Comply with and maintain company policies and procedures, National Framework and Education and Care Laws and Regulations.
• Able to deliver the program plan and menu to provide children with an engaging and fun daily OSHC.

Skills required for the role

• Certificate IV or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Industry approved qualification (Allied Health, Sport & Recreational, Teaching qualification)
• Current approved First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (HLTAID012) or willing to obtain before commencement.
• Working with Children Check (employee status 'E')
• Child Safe Certificate or willing to obtain before commencement.
