About the Role:
We're looking for a highly skilled Coordinator Projects to take on a leadership role in delivering high-impact capital and special projects for our organisation. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to projects that benefit the community while driving economic, environmental, and social outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Delivery: Lead the implementation of capital projects, ensuring efficient execution from design through to completion, in line with statutory and Council requirements. - Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to meet project goals, deadlines, and budgets.
- Financial Oversight: Manage a multi-million-dollar capital works program, monitor project finances, and ensure compliance with cost and quality targets.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to project staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, development, and high performance.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Tackle complex challenges, identify solutions, and make well-informed decisions to keep projects on track.
To succeed in this role, you will be a Civil Engineer with several years of experience in municipal works, project management, team leadership and have extensive hands-on experience in civil engineering and contract management.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management (desirable)
- Strong experience in managing contracts and budgets
- High-level communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain further certifications as required
- Professional Engineering Registration Victoria (RPEV)
