ING
Director - Energy Sector
Sydney
FULL TIME
October 20, 2024
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director (seasoned Vice Presidents can also be considered) in our market-leading Energy Sector Coverage team which is part of our growing Wholesale Bank in Australia as well as our global Energy Sector platform and provides various banking solutions to the leading players across the fast changing energy sector in Australia.
The activity withing the Energy Sector in Australia is predominantly focused on renewable power generation and storage and includes activities across the oil & gas value chain. Besides traditional sources of energy (electrons and molecules), the ambition is to be at the forefront of emerging zero-carbon energy systems like green molecules, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and technologies that provide a solution to the intermittent nature of power generated from solar and wind.
We are seeking a senior Energy banker who is passionate about decarbonisation of the sector and can harness the power of our global network, and together with our product teams locally/regionally, originate various types of banking solutions for a wide range of Energy companies in Australia. This is a client facing role for an entrepreneurial individual who will have responsibility for the Energy sector business across a designated client base in Australia, originating inbound and outbound opportunities.
Given the seniority of the role, the individual is expected to have established relationships in the market and the capability and experience to lead multi-product and x-border deal teams. The role requires an experienced individual who can work with little or no supervision.
