Position Overview
The Director of Project Delivery and Implementations is a new position to support the growth and future of Causeis. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this pivotal role will oversee the Implementation and Project Management Office. The team is responsible for the successful delivery of Launchpad implementation projects, digital projects, and the seamless project management delivery of solutions to our clients.
The Director of Project Delivery and Implementations will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration across teams, and upholding Causeis' reputation for delivering unparalleled service and results.
The Director of Project Delivery and Implementations will ensure ongoing improvements to our implementation and project methodologies.
Job Functions
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Project Delivery and Implementation Team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring ongoing professional growth and skill development.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and goals for team members, regularly monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the Causeis Strategic direction as a member of the Executive Team.
Implementation Project Delivery and Execution:
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Launchpad implementations ensuring adherence to frameworks, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, define objectives, and develop outcomes that align with client goals and member needs.
  • Identify opportunities within Launchpad to improve the product lifecycle across sales, product and implementation services.
  • Alongside the Technical Consulting Team, review product improvements and validate quality assurance.
Project Management Office
  • Ultimate oversight and authoritative decision-making of the Project Management framework.
  • Escalate risks to the Project Steering Committee and/or Executive Team, while proactively identifying risk factors to address and mitigate potential issues before escalation.
  • Implement and enforce the project management framework, methodologies, and best practices within projects.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Assist in overseeing project budgets to ensure financial health and company profitability.
  • Manage alignment of resources with project demands, ensuring optimal utilisation.
  • Oversee identifying, assessing, and managing risks and issues across projects.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain project management software and tools.
  • Identify and deliver project management training needs within the organisation.
Project Management/Delivery
  • Manage project meetings and document meeting notes and outcomes.
  • Develop and manage project documentation and reports, including project schedules and registers (risks, issues, dependencies, decisions).
  • Assist with the scheduling and resourcing of pending projects by balancing workloads to prevent bottlenecks and identify potential scheduling clashes.
  • Manage stakeholders’ expectations and ensure feedback and concerns are documented and addressed promptly and effectively.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships based on transparency, communication, and mutual respect.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation and governance for clients throughout the project lifecycle, proactively addressing client concerns, managing expectations, and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Identify additional value-added services and support opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive client success and loyalty.
  • Oversee post-project client success, including project closeout, client handover, and support transition. Ensure client feedback is collected to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the project delivery and implementation function, leveraging feedback, data, and industry best practices to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the digital consulting space, actively seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance Causeis' service offerings.
  • Champion a team culture of innovation and creativity, encouraging experimentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Other Duties
  • The role may be required to travel to Causeis and client premises locally and interstate as needed. A driver’s license and means of transport is required for local destinations.
  • Participate in industry and client briefings, software user groups, training and events as required.
  • Other duties as directed by the Managing Director or Executive Team.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience in association management and/or technology.
  • Minimum 10+ years experience as a Project Manager or similar position.
  • Minimum 8+ years experience with modern Association Management Software including i MIS.
  • Advanced certification in i MIS and/or project management (e.g., Certified i MIS Professional (Ci P), Certified i MIS Administrator (Ci A), PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or executive-level training in project leadership (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience delivering digital and technical solutions tailored for associations, with a strong focus on enhancing member user experience and satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, with a history of implementing solutions that elevate the digital experience for members.
  • Proven experience leading projects within IT, database development, or web environments.
  • Experience navigating and adapting to agile environments, with the ability to integrate agile principles as needed to enhance project outcomes without strict adherence to an Agile methodology.
  • Extensive proficiency with modern project management tools, including Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Workflow Max, and similar platforms, with the ability to leverage these tools for optimal project planning, tracking, and resource management.
  • Deep understanding of association dynamics and digital trends, with prior experience working with associations or membership organisations.
