An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dispatch Lead to join Service Stream in our Clayton office

About the Role

Service Stream’s Energy (Gas) division are currently seeking a Dispatch lead to join our growing company. The Dispatch Lead is responsible for the optimisation of operational resources of all planned and reactive field works. This position supports the business through proactively addressing resourcing levels to match risks and opportunities as they occur. Involvement in all aspects of field delivery support will enable this role to drive business outcomes in line with Client and Contract expectations

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Clayton

Reporting Line: Planning and Performance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the Dispatch Team to monitor progress and performance of all phases of works and to suitably address all variances.
Manage the Dispatch Call Centre to effectively dispatch works to gas fitters, field crews and monitor delivery in line with agreed SLAs.
Oversee the dispatch logistics of workorders to field resources.
Manage the priority response process and ensure reprioritisation activities are undertaken to mitigate risk of missing key deadlines.
Provide up to date information to Supervisors about what work and which crews have been deployed into their assigned areas.
Establish and maintain performance-based user driven reporting for Supervisors and Management.
Identify, address and escalate repeat attendances and formulate tailored strategies and solutions with Supervisors and Management.
Prepare reports that provide real time, lead and lag insights into field work deployment and completion rates, data quality and compliance.
Advise Management on emerging trends and opportunities for improvement based on actual performance levels.
Maintain regular communication with Client and collaborate with them to drive positive outcomes.
Support the Planning Manager when required.
Provide recommendations on efficiencies and better ways of working and deliver process changes recommended by the Business Improvement Team

About You

Experience in Gas distribution, Utilities or Construction, environment.
Previous leadership of Teams within a fast-paced and deadline driven working environment.
Experience working within in a highly integrated field mobility database.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, commerce, leadership, computer science or similar.
Sound knowledge of the Gas Distribution industry and or Utilities environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional ability to plan, implement, monitor and report on works.
Sound stakeholder management in a relationship style contract environment.
Advanced in data analytics using Excel or SQL and producing suitable business recommendations.
