We are looking for an experienced Drill Operator to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Carosue Dam, WA operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.
This is a full-time position. FIFO from Perth. Roster is 2:1 (weeks) – day shift & night shift.
The Role
To operate Drill Rigs safely and efficiently to ensure maximum output on a continuous basis and as a productive member of the team.
This role would ideally suit someone who has a positive attitude towards safety, training & environment. Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.

The Role
To operate Drill Rigs safely and efficiently to ensure maximum output on a continuous basis and as a productive member of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hydraulic and pneumatic drill rigs as per OEM specifications.
- Complete drill holes to high QA standards according to client requirements.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and assist with major repairs.
- Service drill rigs, ancillary equipment, and operate service trucks and LVs.
- Maintain daily drill sheets and conduct pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are upheld; monitor drilling consumables and record wear rates.
- C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
- A working knowledge of Sandvik DPI1500 equipment
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
- Certificate III In Drilling Operations
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
