About the Role:
Are you ready to advance your HR career and make a real impact? Diona (part of SRG Global) seeks a passionate and driven Human Resources Business Partner for a 6-8 month contract role covering parental leave. This position will be based in Brisbane city location with a hybrid work arrangement.
As an experienced trusted advisor and partner, you will demonstrate a hands-on approach to HR management, effectively navigating challenges and adapting to changing circumstances. This role will focus on managing daily HR operations while ensuring the professional growth of team members.
Key Responsibilities:

• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with managers and employees across all levels. Promote a culture of open communication and trust, ensuring that HR is seen as a valuable partner in driving business objectives.
• Subject Matter Expert: Advise on all HR, Employment, and Industrial Relations (ER/IR) matters, ensuring compliance and best practices. Manage business risk associated with HR policies and practices to support business resilience and growth.
• Employee Lifecycle Management: Provide expert advice on key areas including performance reviews, career development, succession planning, and salary reviews.
• Employee Relations & Compliance: Support managers in navigating employee relations issues, ensuring a low-risk approach and alignment with legal requirements.
• Culture Champion: Lead by example, driving Diona’s values and fostering a positive work environment.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor the current HR team, offering guidance and support to develop their skills and performance.
• Health & Safety Leadership: Be a safety leader, promoting best practices in workplace health and safety.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience working in a similar role.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business Management.
• Extensive experience in HR management, employee relations, and compliance.
• Proven track record in leading HR initiatives and driving employee engagement.
• Experience within the mining, Engineering, or construction industry. (desirable)
• Demonstrated ability to remain agile and responsive while effectively managing conflicting priorities.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to establish rewarding and productive partnerships.
• Excellent computer and software skills; Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, requiring tact and patience in seeking information.
• Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
