As an ED Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering clinical services of the highest standard. You will respond to critical situations, manage the clinical floor, and provide guidance and training to junior staff in a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment. Your leadership will be key in ensuring our department runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
The Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network, called RMCLHN for short, supports more than 70,000 people living in country South Australia in the towns and surrounds of Renmark, Paringa, Berri, Barmera, Waikerie, Loxton, Pinnaroo, Lameroo, Karoonda, Mannum, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Meningie, Tintinara and Coonalpyn. This is a multiple position vacancy, up to Full-Time available by negotiation and remuneration will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

- Total Indicative Remuneration $403,740 - $524,650 p.a. (pro rata) - MD2*
- Total Indicative Remuneration (TIRP) includes Award Salary, remote on-call allowance, professional development, A&R Allowance, leave loading and Super.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care in the Emergency Department, responding to MET/Code Blue/Code Black calls.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the clinical floor, mentoring junior team members.
- Engage in teaching, quality assurance, and health promotion activities within the community.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with Specialist registration in Australia.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a medical position within a hospital's emergency department or community health setting.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing medical and surgical emergencies.
- Commitment to providing safe, high-quality care in line with national standards.
