Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.


Hawkesbury District Hospital’s Emergency Department is growing and we’re currently looking to hire Permanent Full Time or Part Time Registered Nurse’s.

Our Emergency Department will provide you with a positive and innovative environment which will offer many opportunities and career pathways whilst being supported by an experienced and dedicated team consisting of a Nurse Manager, NUM's, Nurse Practitioners, CNC's, CNE, CNS's and RN's.

Your role as a Registered Nurse will work collaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams. You will assess, plan, prioritise, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team to meet defined patient/client care objectives within agreed timeframes and at all times maintain confidentiality on all issues relating to patients/clients, colleagues.

What you will bring to the role
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in nursing as a Registered Nurse including completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse. Recent experience working in an Intensive Care or Critical Care environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
  • Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
