About the role
CBUS super has a brand-new role as part of our Member & Employer Experience team. In your role as Experience Design Manager, you will be a custodian of the member experience and ultimately work to streamline, improve, and digitise our member experience. This is a craft and people leadership role and will excite somebody who wishes to lead a team of designers but remain hands-on in delivering outcomes for our members.
As the Experience Designer Manager, you will partner and collaborate with business areas across service, operations, marketing and engineering to develop UX strategies, set design standards and guidelines, and lead the Experience Design across the domain. You will lead, coach and mentor a team of designers to develop skills, improve the design process and achieve member-centric goals for the fund.
As a craft leader you will ensure a human-centred approach is applied when creating best-in-class, easy, personalised and accessible experiences leveraging member feedback. This role will manage the quality of design deliverables, drive the process of user testing and research and build a deep understanding of the service experience and drive design innovation by staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.

About you
You are an expert in all things related to UX/UI design and have additional experience in CX/ Service Design. Your exceptional experience managing cross-functional design teams, designing and delivering customer journeys/service blueprints, prototypes and detailed designs will be pivotal to supporting the execution of prioritised initiatives.
Ideally, you will have a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects. Perhaps you have come from a product design background, or have worked in a consultancy or digital agency? Core competencies are important to us, but diversity of experience is also important. We value expertise and ideas from different backgrounds and industries.
You will also have extensive experience setting up design processes, tools (for example Figma), design systems and working in Agile. Your demonstrable expertise in guiding senior stakeholders on all things experience, advising on strategic initiatives and contributing to overall organisational strategy will be essential in this role.
