Food and Beverage Attendant

Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay located at the southern tip of the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef. Situated within a highly protected ’Green Zone’ the island is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life and is known for its abundance of manta rays, turtles, an amazing array of spectacular marine life and an unspoiled coral reef. Located on this coral cay is Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, an award-winning eco-tourism business.
Lady Elliot Island is seeking a Food & Beverage superstar to join their team!
As a Food & Beverage Team Member, you are required to lead from the front and be responsible for contributing to the Lady Elliot Island experience by providing an outstanding food and beverage service experience for guests. This includes taking orders, beverage preparation, bar service and guest information services.
You have the following key areas of responsibility;
- Barista
- Bartender
- Cleaning
- Following Workplace Health and Safety protocols
- Ability to step up when needed
- Guest Information Services
- Some split shifts
- Minimum 1 years experience working in a F&B department in a resort environment
- A passion for hospitality and professional customer service
- Food & Beverage experience with remote location experience viewed favourably
- Outstanding customer service skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Previous experience in cocktails and coffee making while also possessing a sound knowledge of wines
- Well organised with an attention to detail to maintain quality and service standards
- A team player working well under pressure and unsupervised
- Possess a valid RSA
- Basic Food Safety Certificate

Pay: $31.00 – $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 38 per week
