Minimum of 3 years experience as a chef including: Minimum of years 2 in a Sous Chef role / 1 in a Head Chef role. Must obtain a Food Safety Certificate and Cert 3 & 4 commercial cookery
Duties and Responsibilities:·
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff. Ensure staff are following safety and sanitation standards
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order stock, manage food cost to stay within budget. Analyze food and labour costs weekly, implement strategies to minimise waste
Menu Development: Create and design seasonal menus that reflect culinary trends, and budget
Food Preparation: Oversee all food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, conducting regular training and audits
Daily Operations Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow, proper staffing levels, and timely food service to meet customer demand
Teamwork: Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members. Ability to work under pressure in a busy, fast paced environment

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
