As part of KPMG’s Infrastructure, Assets & Places group, our Commercial Advisory & Transactions team are industry leaders providing specialist transaction, commercial, and financial advice to support investment decisions for major infrastructure projects.
Our work spans all major infrastructure sectors including transport, energy, social infrastructure (health, housing, education, justice, and community infrastructure), real estate and places, and water.
Our team understands the challenges in delivering projects across the full project lifecycle, and we thrive on this complexity. We are a market leader, and we are advising on some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.
Your Opportunity – Brisbane
To support continued infrastructure investment in the Queensland market, our team is growing! We have new opportunities for passionate infrastructure professionals to join our Brisbane infrastructure team at Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Manager levels (we would consider this as early to mid-career professionals).
You will join a multidisciplinary team providing transaction, commercial, and financial advice on major infrastructure projects.
Your Experience
You will have recent experiences, preferably from the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects in some or all of the follow areas:
- Developing commercial or financial advice to support clients with their planning, procurement, and delivery of infrastructure investments.

- Management of interactive tender processes including transaction management services such as electronic data room management, RFI management, and evaluation phase coordination.
- Developing business cases and analysing procurement and delivery options for infrastructure delivery.
- Developing go-to-market transaction strategies and undertaking market sounding activities.
- Drafting and development of associated approvals documentation throughout procurement processes such as briefing papers, reports, memorandums.
- Stakeholder engagement with experience coordinating multidisciplinary inputs (e.g. (engineering/technical, legal, environmental, stakeholder, health, and safety) into various transaction, procurement, and commercial documentation.
- Development of commercial documentation to support construction contracts including commercial principles, commercial framework, term sheets, and commercial contract schedules with an ability to convey complex ideas into simple concepts.
- Leveraging your sector experiences from transport, energy, social infrastructure, real estate, or water projects.
At KPMG, we believe diversity of thought, background and experience strengthens relationships and delivers meaningful benefits to our people, our clients, and communities. Our teams embrace a diversity of skills and capabilities, and you will offer the following (relevant to you level of experience) such as:
- Relevant experience in professional services firms (for example infrastructure advisory, transaction management, engineering consultancy, or legal), or experience in government associated with infrastructure (for example infrastructure department, major projects delivery teams, infrastructure delivery authorities, Government Owned Corporations).
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, economics, law, engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- A passion for doing work that matters and thriving on the challenge of solving complex problems, juggling competing demands, and working as part of a team in delivering solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
