About the Role:
As our Maintenance Officer, you will be the point of call onsite, responsible for overseeing and supervising all maintenance activities. You’ll ensure the timely completion of tasks while maintaining the safety and functionality of our facilities. Your role will be vital in keeping the care home running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all onsite maintenance tasks, ensuring the team delivers high-quality results
• Perform and oversee routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, equipment, and facilities
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs or services as needed
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in an aged care or similar environment
• Proven ability to supervise and manage maintenance activities onsite
• Strong knowledge of building systems (air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
• Understanding of health and safety standards in a care setting
• Friendly communication style and a team player mindset
• Valid driver’s license and relevant trade qualifications (desirable)
