Maintenance Superintendent – Fixed Plant

Residential Full Time Position

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment at the Greenbushes Processing Operations and manage the maintenance function in line with the operating requirements of the site. This is a permanent full-time position with the possibility of vehicle and accommodation options for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities include:

• effective leadership of Maintenance Team by setting clear expectations;
• continuous improvement of maintenance strategies, implementation and execution;
• demonstrate understanding and awareness of Talison safety and environmental policies and ensure all work carried out complies;
• utilize various diagnostic tools and techniques to identify potential issues or deviations in equipment performance;
• monitor and drive improvement of maintenance KPI’s;
• develop and manage maintenance budget plan;
• excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement;
• proficiency in relevant software and tools for maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation
• assist in development and implementation of improvements in vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs, including maintenance of condition monitoring tools and systems;
• collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams to develop and execute maintenance plans and strategies;
• stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in condition monitoring; and
• assist in developing and implementing precision maintenance techniques of the rotating equipment lubrication program, including mentoring and guidance of tradesmen

About the Candidate:

Qualifications

The following qualification/ s are considered desirable for this position:

• Tertiary Degree in related field and/ or trade Certificate; and
• Front Line Management.

Skills
The successful candidate will have the following skills and/or experience:

• minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position;
• experience in management and execution of plant shutdowns and or outages;
• proven problem solving, team development and facilitation skills;
• ability to develop preventative maintenance programs;
• understanding of CCMS, preferably SAP;
• understanding of maintenance management systems;
• ability to prepare budgets, forecasts and analyse cost variances;
• highly developed Interpersonal and communication skills;
• knowledge and understanding of Mines Act and Regulations; and
• knowledge and understanding of engineering standards and codes.
