Our client is currently seeking a Mining Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our team on a significant mineral sands project in Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious engineer eager to develop their skills while providing crucial support to the Mine Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Work closely with the Mine Manager to ensure smooth operations, providing technical expertise for mine planning and production.
- Operational Planning: Assist in the development of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules while ensuring the project's goals are met.
- Mine Optimisation: Identify areas for improvement and provide innovative solutions for enhancing mining efficiency.
- Health & Safety: Uphold strong safety practices and ensure all activities comply with company standards and regulations.
- Project Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of mining systems, focusing on mineral sands.
- 3+ years of experience in a mining engineering role, ideally within mineral sands or related commodities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with mining software such as Surpac, Deswik, or similar.
- A desire to grow and develop within the mining industry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- FIFO Roster (5/2 or 8/6), providing flexibility for work-life balance.
