About the opportunity:
Join the Cessnock Community Health team for an exciting opportunity to provide expert nursing leadership in a vibrant community setting! Based at the Cessnock Community Health Building within the Cessnock District Hospital, this role allows you to work in the picturesque Hunter Valley wine country. As the Cessnock Kurri Kurri Community Health Nurse Unit Manager, you'll oversee the clinical and operational management of the nursing service, ensuring exceptional patient- and family-centered care while effectively handling daily operations and staffing matters. You'll benefit from the support of the Cessnock Kurri Kurri Community Health Nurse Manager for operational guidance and professional mentorship, along with collaboration from a Clinical Nurse Educator. Additionally, you will manage various essential programs, including the Audiometry Clinic, Childhood Immunisation Clinic, and the Cessnock School-Based Immunisation Program, making a significant impact on community health outcomes.

About you:
Our successful candidate will be a confident and competent leader with the ability to prioritise their workload to meet the needs and demands of the Service. High level communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and gain trust when working with groups and teams is essential. As a leader and manager, you will role model resilience, advocacy and courage while promoting the implementation of best practice in the Community Health setting.

- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
