About the role
The Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Mental Health Clinical Program is made up of a range of multidisciplinary teams providing recovery-focussed clinical services across acute, community and rehabilitation settings. The AHP2 Occupational Therapist is a member of the multi-disciplinary team at the Inpatient Rehabilitation Service (IRS), located at Glenside Health Services, which provides rehabilitation and recovery-orientated treatment services, therapy and educative programs relating to complex and often treatment resistive mental health problems.
The AHP2 Occupational Therapist is responsible for the delivery of evidence-based discipline-specific assessments, reports, consultation, individual and group rehabilitation interventions and discharge planning. The AHP2 Occupational Therapist partners with consumers, families, and carers to assist recovery through programs focusing on the regaining or development of skills in self-management, occupational functioning and social relationships. IRS collaborates closely with community mental health services, NDIS, and other government and non-government organisations in order to develop and implement clinical plans to reduce discharge barriers, maximise outcomes for consumers and support successful community tenure. This unique and exciting role provides opportunities to work with a diverse multi-disciplinary team inclusive of medical, nursing, psychology, social work, exercise physiology, art and music therapy and lived-experience staff.
Qualifications
Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Essential Requirements:
  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
