About Our Role

Simplot are seeking applicants for the permanent part-time position of Office Administrator to be based at our Kelso food manufacturing facility. Simplot Kelso is home to our frozen seafood and snack line production and produces about 50 tonnes of product each day. Approximately 95% of items are made of either Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) or Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seafood.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will provide a range of administrative services to the Kelso leadership team and wider plant.

Working a 20 hour week (Mon-Fri 0700 - 1100hrs), this role will form an integral part of our Kelso operations.

This role is remunerated with an hourly rate of $34.37 p/h + personal and annual leave accruals (pro-rata) applicable.

What You Will Do

Support for Plant Leadership Team with administrative duties as required
Maintain documentation / records and produce reports
Procurement of office consumables and canteen stock
Facilitate booking site of functions, events, and catering
Be a focal first point of contact for site vendors
Maintain booking schedule for site soft tissue centre appointments
Support site monthly staff sales day
Phone & switchboard operations, including gate / site access requests.
Maintain reception area + greet & induct all visitors to site
Collect & distribute mail and coordinate courier services

About You

Demonstrated experience within an administrative based role
Intermediate user of MS Office suite of products (Excel, Outlook etc.)
Exposure to purchasing systems (such as JDE) + contractor sign-in systems (Link Safe etc)
Possess a customer focused work ethic with particular strengths in communication e.g. phone manner and in-person greetings
Available for 20 hours per week Mon-Fri (0700 - 1100hrs daily)
Ability to focus on zero-waste with site consumable procurement
