About the Role
Are you a skilled and dedicated professional with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of oil and gas facilities?
A great opportunity is now available for an Operator Maintainer I/E located at Jackson. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, cost-effective execution of the integrated schedule and operation/maintenance of assets in the Cooper field and oil/gas sites.
Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Displaying experience and expertise in PLC controls, Variable Speed Drives, motor controls, safety systems, power generators and pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation
- Fault diagnosis and repair of instrument and electrical equipment associated with oil and gas production and processing including control systems, process instrumentation and electrical equipment
- Having a close working relationship and a high level of communication must be maintained with other operations personnel
- Build positive relationships for a positive outcome
- Maintaining a close working relationship with the Production controllers and with all land holders throughout our field
- Supervising contractors working on site
- Maintaining a close working relationship with relevant reservoir, facilities, and production engineers to achieve production and maintenance goals
- Maintaining a close working relationship with maintenance planning, production planning and production accounting personnel to achieve production and maintenance goals
About You
The successful candidate will bring high standard diagnostic, technical, PC and equipment failure analysis skills. Experience and expertise in switchgear, motor controls, safety systems, power generators, variable speed AC drives, pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation and PLC controls will also be held in high regard. Candidate also required to be experienced & trained in hazardous areas.
We’re seeking a dedicated team player who has a proven proactive and flexible approach along with strong communication skills. You will be dual traded with Electrical and Instrumentation certification. Including the capability and experience to work on High Voltage equipment.
