The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Payroll Officer to join our Belmont Office and support a team of 4 with end-to-end payroll processing.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer’s responsibilities will include:

• Processing end-to-end weekly & fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time
• Interpreting relevant Awards and EAs to process payroll, and configure payroll system rules correctly
• Assist in the resolution of complex payroll queries and issues
• Manage the provision of timely, relevant and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders including statutory and regulatory bodies
• Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of PAYG, superannuation, portable long service leave, and other general payroll maintenance tasks

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-3 years prior experience in end-to-end payroll processing with high volume, blue and white-collar employees (essential)
• Strong understanding of legislation, taxation and superannuation related to payroll processing activities.
• Previous experience with interpreting and understanding industrial instruments including Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Common Law arrangements
• Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and a strong team contributor
• Strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
