Payroll Officer

- Located in the heart of Canberra
The Payroll Officer is responsible for providing an efficient, effective, and high-quality payroll service to CGS Team members. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for coordinating the processing of payments in a timely and accurate manner, including fortnightly and monthly reconciliations, and answering queries on complex payroll issues.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- A proven track record of success in a similar fast-paced environment
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industrial instruments
- Strong stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work closely and confidentially with people at all levels within the school
- The ability to work autonomously with a keen eye for detail
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated Microsoft Excel, payroll software and database management skills; and
- Exhibit a flexible and proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
