About the role
The Practice Services team works collaboratively with all practices across AGS and has responsibility for a diverse range of work including managing our outpost practice, our pro bono practice, our internal training programs including the Core Legal Skills and the Seminar Series, the AGS Opinions database, our knowledge management framework, our induction program and our graduate program.
The Practice Services Coordinator role supports the National Manager, Library and Practice Services in the delivery of support services to AGS’s 3 practice areas with a particular focus on the graduate, induction and outpost programs.
Day to day duties may include:
- assisting with the National Practice Orientation program, including programming of sessions and liaising and consulting with internal and external stakeholders
- assisting with the coordination of other induction
- assisting with the coordination of the graduate rotation program, including coordinating rotation details and appraisals as well as organisation of orientation and transition programs
- supporting the delivery of the internal training program
- assisting with the administration of the outpost practice, including through the preparation of correspondence with clients, engagement with outposted lawyers, time-recording and coordination of logistics
- supporting the delivery of the pro bono program which includes preparation of rosters for project-based work
- supporting the delivery of Practice Services initiatives including internal audits and corporate projects
- act as a point of contact for lawyers
- preparation of reports and managing changing agendas
- providing additional support to the Practice Services team with internal and external training.
While we are recruiting for an ongoing role, depending on business requirements, opportunities for non-ongoing engagement may be used from the outcomes of this recruitment process.
