The Role
The Early Childhood and Youth Group supports participation of families in work, training, study or volunteering and supports children, especially those experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage, to access and attend quality early childhood education and care.

The Integrity Policy and Governance team leads the implementation of the Child Care Financial Integrity Strategy and its whole-of-system approach to improving childcare subsidy payment accuracy.

As a Senior Policy and Program Officer (APS6) in the team you will be involved in the work that drives the strategic direction of childcare integrity, including responsibility for strategic policy, performance measurement, governance, legislative reform and new integrity projects

Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Interpreting, drafting and reviewing policy or project documents and materials, including parliamentary briefings, policy advice, discussion papers, submissions, project reports, and strategy documents.
Conducting research and analysis to inform policy and strategic direction of strengthening financial integrity activities related to the Child Care Subsidy program.
Leading planning, development and implementation of policy, or project activities in line with broader divisional objectives.
Managing relevant governance and administrative activities, including contract management, procurement activities and reporting.
Contributing to Cabinet processes including the development of New Policy Proposals and broader child care financial integrity work across the team, when required.
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Supervising staff members including developing and building capability of team members.
