Salary: UOM 5 – $83,159 – $95,518 p.a. plus 17% super (pro rata for part time)

The Project Officer at the Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations (ACADI) plays a crucial role in supporting the administration and operation of ACADI’s programs.
This position involves coordinating administrative tasks, supporting events, managing communications, and aiding in the preparation and execution of governance meetings.
The role requires exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of university and external stakeholders, ensuring high levels of professionalism and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide event and program support for ACADI.
- Provide high-level executive support for ACADI governance committees and meetings.
- Provide administrative support.
You will have a degree coupled with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
Your role demands excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus, enabling effective interactions with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will demonstrate well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage workflows and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a flexible and innovative approach.
Knowledge of the higher education sector, experience with diabetes-related contexts is desirable.
You will also have:
- A degree with subsequent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in supporting event organisation and management.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high-level secretariat support.
- A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
