Position Classification: Registered Midwife
Remuneration: $70,049.73 – $98,351.39 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Part time hours may be considered)

What you'll be doing
As the Caseload Midwife you will provide evidence-based, woman-centered maternity care to low-risk women and their families in the Auburn Hospital catchment area. You will be responsible for:

Delivering maternity care through a caseload model
Partnering with multidisciplinary teams
Offering clinical, cultural, and psychological support
Ensuring smooth transitions to child and family health services
Collaborating with other agencies as needed

Essential Criteria:

Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Selection Criteria:

Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a Registered Midwife (Division 1).

Demonstrated extensive experience and clinical skill as a registered midwife Commitment to developing advanced clinical skills and maintaining ongoing mandatory training requirements.

Availability to work flexible hours with availability to be on call.

Demonstrated understanding of the broader multicultural Health issues including demonstrated understanding of the unique medical, physical, social and emotional issues in the Auburn Community.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuity of carer/primary health care models of midwifery care in addition to an explicit understanding of strengths-based philosophy.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team with demonstrated effective teamwork and communication skills and demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.

Current Driver’s Licence valid in Australia and willingness to use for work purposes.
