About the Role
You will be working at Sydney Dental Hospital. Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) has been serving the local community since 1904. The Hospital is a centre of excellence and throughout its history has been a key driver in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia.

In this role you will be willing to rotate through various clinical units, including Community Oral Health Clinic, Critical Integrated Care Clinic (formerly the Special Care Clinic), Oral Surgery Perioperative Department. Additionally the Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Ideal Candidate

Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Post registration experience, with experience in both adult and paediatric anaesthetics, recovery, and/or scrub scout duties, aligned with Australian ACORN standards of safe staffing in Perio-operative units and in general clinical areas.
Assisting with patient assessments during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care and strong clinical decision-making skills for effective patient assessments.
Capability to perform general clinic duties as required and ability to provide an appropriate RN response to deteriorating patients, including timely interventions and care.
Commitment to the principles of Patient and Family-Centred Care.
Demonstrated ability to support patient involvement, emotional support, and communication with families during all stages of care.
Able to work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
