Albury Wodonga Health requires Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team on Surgical Ward 1. Surgical Ward 1 is a 23-bed unit, specialising in the pre and post operative care of elective (orthopaedic, plastics, general surgical) and emergency surgery/ trauma patients. Primary responsibilities include general nursing duties, pre and post operative monitoring and observation, IV & CVAD management, comprehensive patient assessment, escalation of deterioration, complex wound management and multidisciplinary care planning. Surgical Ward 1 is actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity;
Australian Citizen, Permanent resident or has working rights in Australia.

Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency).
Demonstrates a person and family centred approach to decision making and care planning activities.
Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrates an understanding of and the ability to practice within a quality and risk management framework.
Is able to describe and demonstrate the utilisation of evidence based practice into own practice.
Understanding of WHS legislation as it relates to employees’ responsibilities.
An ability to describe clinical governance as it pertains to nursing / midwifery.

The ability to utilise electronic information systems / software used across healthcare settings.
Employment Type: Part-time and full-time positions available.
