About the role:

Senior Business Analyst | Melbourne Based | 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

As we embark on the next phase of our Retail Transformation journey, we are excited to announce several newly created Senior Business Analyst (BA) roles within our program delivery teams.

As a Senior BA on the Retail Transformation team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing AGL’s customer experience across various business domains and technical platforms. You will take full responsibility for driving all analysis activities from inception through to delivery, ensuring successful outcomes across one or more key capabilities.

What you’ll be doing:

Serve as the primary resource for understanding the business context and shaping solutions for capabilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify minimum viable products, balancing functionality, architecture, and user experience.
Translate complex business needs into clear, verifiable user stories and process flows.
Proactively identify, monitor, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies.
Ensure end-to-end process integrity across systems and business units, enabled through As-Is and To-Be process mapping.
Support agile estimation, planning workshops, and manage inter-team dependencies.

About you:

Previous demonstrated experience within a business analysis or product development role, demonstrating the ability to effectively problem solve.
Experience creating and maintaining documentation, such as user manuals and/or system architecture diagrams.
Ability to engage with and manage stakeholders at various levels, including executives and end-users.
Excellent problem -solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to systematically identify, isolate and report defects.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
