The team
ASIC's Enforcement and Compliance Group (ECG) is responsible for the conduct of ASIC's initial inquiries, compliance and enforcement work across all sectors excluding markets. The ECG comprises Investigation and Enforcement Action, Enforcement Inquiries and Compliance, Enforcement (Evidence) Services and Enforcement Policy and Practice (EPP).
EPP develops best practice investigation policies and practice for ECG to enhance the delivery of enforcement outcomes. It also supports varied projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ECG, including enhancing process and systems, to support our people achieve enforcement and compliance outcomes that benefit all Australians.

The role
As a Strategic Intelligence Analyst you will work on a broad range of regulatory projects, with a focus on the continuous enhancement ECG's strategic intelligence function and capability. The core purpose of this role is to work in collaboration with ASIC's intelligence teams and networks to ensure our executives and people have access to strategic and tactical intelligence that informs their regulatory decisions and helps them achieve regulatory outcomes, efficiently and effectively.
You will also assist the EPP with team priorities, including through project planning, reviews, technological developments, compliance and risk management, and internal and external guidance development and reporting.

About you
You will have demonstrated experience undertaking intelligence work and applying technical knowledge in in a regulatory environment.
Experience in in Microsoft 365 suite of programs, including Power BI will be highly beneficial.
You should have the confidence to communicate complex information to different target audiences through strong business writing and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision and take responsibility for outcomes.
