About us:
Central Queensland Mental Heatlh Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Woorabinda and Central Highlands districts and adult patients of the Central West Hospital and Health Service (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000).

About the role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant or the Advanced Health Practitioner - Suicide Prevenvetion and Postvention will lead, facilitate, implement and evaluate a sustainable quality approach to suicide prevention across Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs and with key internal services within the Hospital and Health Service, through the implementation of Zero Suicide, The Way Back Support Service, and other identified suicide prevention strategies.

• Responsible for the implementation of all elements of the Zero Suicide in Healthcare framework and the Way Back Support Program across the CQHHS.
• Provides expert clinical leadership and support within the multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous contact and support is provided to people with suicidal ideation and behaviours following transition of care, especially after acute care episodes.

About you:
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration with the appropriate registration authority, including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.

Total remuneration value of up to $167,588 p.a. (HP5) / $164,212 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7) is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $70.99 - $74.07 p.h. (HP5) / $66.85 - $72.58 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
