Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead Developer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric, particularly Power BI, to lead a critical migration project. This role involves transitioning our existing data solutions from Alteryx and Tableau to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these platforms, with the ability to guide the migration process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition while leading a team of developers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:

o Lead a team of developers through the migration process from Alteryx and Tableau to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring best practices in data management and visualization are followed.
o Oversee the design, development and testing of the new data solutions within Microsoft Fabric, post-migration.

• Migration Project Management:

o Develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand existing workflows and requirements in Alteryx and Tableau, translating them into equivalent solutions in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
o Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications, ensuring all milestones are met.

• Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Expertise:

o Design, develop, and test Power BI reports and dashboards as part of the new data infrastructure.
o Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability, integrating them seamlessly into the broader Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
o Ensure all data sources are accurately migrated and integrated within the new framework.

• Alteryx & Tableau Knowledge:

o Analyse existing Alteryx workflows and Tableau dashboards to ensure accurate migration and preservation of critical data insights.
o Provide guidance on the decommissioning of Alteryx and Tableau, ensuring all necessary data and processes are fully transitioned to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical lead or senior developer role.
o Extensive experience with Microsoft Fabric and in particular Power BI.
o Proficient in Tableau and Alteryx.

• Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data visualization.
o Proficient in SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
o Experience with cloud platforms like Azure is a plus.
o Knowledge of additional BI tools and programming languages is advantageous.

• Soft Skills:

o Excellent leadership and team management skills.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
o Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
