Could you be the full-time Senior Buyer (f/m/d) in Vienna we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity™ tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Site Procurement Manager and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:

• Lead purchasing activities for a designated family of products or suppliers, driving competitive advantage for the local business unit
  
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives while providing innovative supply solutions for complex sourcing challenges
  
• Research and evaluate potential new suppliers to enhance local sourcing capabilities beyond existing global agreements
  
• Manage supplier relationships in alignment with Procurement policies, ensuring competitiveness and optimal delivery performance
  
• Establish and monitor key supplier performance through dedicated development processes and continual improvement initiatives
  
• Support the Procurement Manager by resolving operational issues and overseeing complex negotiations related to contractual terms

• Fluency in both English and German

• Capacity to challenge the status quo, assertiveness, and diplomacy are essential traits for success in this role

The minimum salary for this position is € 65.000 EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications. You’ll also:
