The Cyber Security Expert Service will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the company's compliance efforts with the NIS-2 cyber security regulation by the end of 2025. The expert will work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that all security measures are implemented effectively and timely, safeguarding the organisation’s assets and operations.
Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- A Master’s degree in information security, computer science, business management, or equivalent field;
- Relevant certifications such as ISO, NISP, or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cyber security, with a focus on regulatory compliance;
- Proven experience in managing and coordinating compliance projects;
- In-depth knowledge of NIS-2 regulation and other relevant cyber security standards;
- Deep understanding of cyber security principles, practices, and technologies;
- Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies;
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks efficiently;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly;
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure stringent compliance with regulations;
- High level of integrity and ethical judgement;
- Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and emerging security threats;
- Excellent language skills in English and French or Dutch.
- Leading efforts to align the company's cyber security practices with the NIS-2 regulation;
- Developing and managing a comprehensive compliance plan with clear milestones and deadlines;
- Coordinating with various departments to ensure all regulatory requirements are met;
- Conducting thorough security assessments and supporting potential audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with NIS-2;
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of existing security controls;
- Ensuring that documented procedures are implemented and followed across the organization;
- Providing training and raising awareness among employees about cyber security practices and NIS-2 requirements;
- Conducting regular workshops and seminars to keep staff updated on the latest security trends and regulatory changes;
- Helping adapt an incident response plan in line with NIS-2 requirements;
- Ensuring proper response to security incidents, ensuring they are managed and resolved efficiently;
- Preparing regular reports on the status of compliance activities for senior management and regulatory bodies;
- Maintaining detailed documentation of all compliance-related activities, assessments, and incidents;
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, legal, security, transformation, and compliance teams;
- Acting as the primary point of contact for NIS-2 compliance issues.
