Data warehouse architect

We currently have a vacancy for a Data warehouse architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

Analyse the current state of the data analytics technologies, processes, and services to identify areas for improvement and create a plan for future development;
Design the transition strategy from current data analytics tools to the target platform;
Design Data Warehouse architecture;
Design, develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources;
Create and maintain data marts and dimensional models;
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of the data warehouse environment;
Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval;
Participation in data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards.

Requirements

Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
Extensive experience in data quality applied to Data Warehouse / Data Vault;
Extensive experience in using data warehouse and data vault automation tools such as Datavault Builder as well as experience in Enterprise Architecture;
Experience of preparing FSD/TSD (Functional/Technical Specification Document) documents from BRD (Business Requirement Document) / Customer Requirements;
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment;
Thoroughly proficient in SQL, PL/SQL development in Oracle;
Excellent knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 modelling and implementation;
Working knowledge of a version control system such as Git;
Working knowledge in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS as well SQL Server on Azure;
Experience in programming languages such as Python or Java Script is considered an asset;
Experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse is considered an asset;
Good knowledge and ideally certification in the area of Artificial Intelligence in the data management activities is an asset;
Following certificates are considered an asset: ISTQB, DAU-CDAT or any other certification in data and analytics testing, Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner certification, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer certification, Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, Certification in Data Vault;
Excellent command of the English language, French is an asset.
