ROLE PURPOSE
The Financial Controller operates and coordinates all Finance tasks for our business based in the Be Ne Lux and reports directly to the Country Head Benelux – with a dotted line to the EMEA Finance Director. Within this role, you shall work closely together with the Accountant and Accounting Assistant, as well as being their Functional Manager. As a team, we aim at qualitative and accurate financial support, reporting towards management and ownership of the financial handling for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Our Benelux organisation is part of an international & dynamic work environment, but has locally a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. This is reflected in the hands-on mentality we are looking for within each employee in the local teams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible for various reporting to Group, using our internal tool Tagetik.
• You will handle all reconcilliations and stock movements.
• You will work on internal and external audits.
• You will be responsible for margin analysis.
• You will communicate with other departments on issues and discrepancies.
• You will ensure Group procedures are in place and followed.
• You are expected to identify opportunities for process and operational improvements.
• You will be responsible for the validation of the sales forecast and prepare the cash & monthly forecast.
• You will support the Country Head Benelux with preparing and monitoring the budget.
• You will manage a team of 2 persons.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor in Accounting or equal by experience.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in an accounting environment, preferably in an international company;
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial closure, reporting etc.)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Very good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools. Knowledge of JDE (Oracle) is a plus, but not essential.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and French, plus a good level of English.
• People skills, with a “can-do” attitude and proactive skills.
• Commitment to the finance function and its responsibility to assist with business objectives and respect deadlines.
• Self-supporting, pro-active team player with sense of responsibility;
• Proactive and methodical approach to work. Efficiency driven.
• Good communication and complex query resolution skills. Analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Attention to detail and meticulous approach.
