What is expected from you?
As the Partnerships Director, together with your team you will lead Value Network in our mission by developing business development strategy that is centered around 2 main goals: (a) Look for partnerships that support Value Network financially and (b) Spearhead collaborations that provide value to our target audience and the ecosystem as a whole.
We value creativity, so your ideas will contribute to our growth. You will be given more responsibility as you progress, and once you are up to speed, you will be able to take on some of our projects and test your leadership skills.
We are looking for a volunteer to be in charge of the Partnerships team who can meet the following responsibilities:
- Strategize with the leadership team to define partnership goals, develop outreach strategies, and align partnership efforts with the broader organizational objectives.
- Manage and mentor the partnerships team, ensuring that tasks are executed on time and align with the strategic goals, while providing guidance and addressing any issues that arise.
- Ensure partner research is conducted effectively to identify and engage with potential partners via email, Linked In, phone calls, and other channels.
- Ensure meetings with partners are scheduled, and that the contact database and CRM system in Odoo are accurately maintained. Oversee the preparation of pitch decks and individualized offers for partnership calls.
- Ensure that Value Network’s initial pitch is presented effectively to potential partners and that monthly newsletters for partners are prepared, with guidance provided to the team when needed. Ensure the successful closing of partnership deals and the development of long-term relationships.
What are we looking for?
We are a group of motivated collaborators (but you can call us friends ) and are looking for a passionate individual to strengthen our team. Ideally, you recognize yourself in the description below:- You have a background in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- You are fluent in English.
- Prior experience in sales is a plus.
- Prior knowledge of start-ups & non-profits in Leuven & around is a plus.
- You are not afraid of picking up your phone and making a phone call to someone you don’t know on the spot.
- You are a flexible and adaptive person who thrives in a startup environment.
- You are highly organized and have a strong sense of accountability to meet deadlines.
- You are a team player and can also work independently when needed.
- You have a positive attitude towards challenges and are eager to learn and grow.
- You possess a strong sense of ownership and a proactive mindset.
