What type of breed are we looking for?
We’re on the hunt for a People Lead who can lead our People Pack through an exciting phase of expansion and strategic integration with General Mills. This isn’t just any HR role—it’s a pivotal leadership position where you’ll shape the future of Edgard & Cooper by aligning our people strategy with our business vision. With offices in 7 countries across Europe, you'll be at the forefront of driving our talent initiatives on an international scale. You’ll be partnering closely with our Founders to drive critical initiatives like organizational design, succession planning, and ensuring our vibrant culture thrives as we scale. You’ll be leading a fantastic team of pet-lovers at our headquarters in Kortrijk. Your mission? To bring our talent strategies to life, ensuring that our HR operations not only support but supercharge our ambitious growth plans. And yes, you’ll get to hang out with some furry friends in the office—they’re part of the pack too!
What will be in your bowl?
Strategic Leadership & Culture Building
- Shape Our Future: Lead and drive our global growth and integration strategy, ensuring that our organizational structure and culture are fully aligned with our long-term business objectives.
- Coach & Influence: Provide strategic coaching to our senior business leaders, ensuring that Edgard & Cooper remains an inspiring and engaging place to work.
- Design & Develop: Design and execute a comprehensive talent strategy, including leadership development and succession planning, to fuel our long-term growth.
- Be a Culture Champion: Make sure our unique culture stays strong and grows as we integrate with General Mills.

Bring Strategies to Life: Oversee all HR operations across multiple markets, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance with international employment laws. Ensure that everything we do aligns with our big-picture goals.
- Smooth Integration: Lead the way in blending Edgard & Cooper with General Mills on all HR fronts, ensuring a seamless and effective transition.
- Lead the Pack: Coach, guide, and develop our HR team, helping them support our growing organization every step of the way.
Ideal skill & tricks?
- University Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- 10+ years of experience in an HR leadership role, with a strong background in a multinational/international environment (in a regional/HQ office)
- Experience in FMCG preferred
- Experience in either globally growing a business into new market and / or M&A post-acquisition experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Belgium HR/Employment Law and Employee Relations Issues, additionally knowledge for France, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Italy and/or Germany preferred
- A strong background with HR Business Partner accountabilities required, including change management, consulting agility, and organization design
- Strong strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to translate the business agenda into HR strategy and lead all the way through execution
- A track record of strong coaching, conflict management and influence up, down, and across the organization
- Experience with multi-stakeholder management; a strong capability to build rapport with client teams and interest in collaboration and partnership
- Comfort with ambiguity and experimentation, and a learning mindset
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent presentation & communication skills
- Fluency in English required, Fluency in Dutch and French preferred
