We are looking for a Public Relations and social media practitioner who is looking to grow their career by being part of Saxo’s exciting journey to bring our story and our offerings to more investors in Belgium.

At Saxo ultimately everything we do as a company is focused on getting curious people to be invested in the world by giving our clients more ways to make more of their money. You will, through strategic and creative storytelling, help further elevate our brand awareness in Belgium, strengthening Saxo’s association with trading, investing and digital wealth management solutions.

In this role based out of our MER hub in Belgium, you will be reporting directly to the Local Head of Marketing (based in Antwerp) as well as to the Global Head of Communication and PR (based in Copenhagen our HQ), and work closely with all local departments, in particular marketing, to drive holistic storytelling and brand building for us in Belgium. Besides supporting major launches and key events, you will be responsible for ensuring Saxo is well-positioned in the media and our market comments as well as spokespeople are being featured regularly in key media titles.

How do you succeed:

You are passionate about storytelling, and proactive in seeking out media opportunities and proposing ideas to support and drive local storytelling
You will work closely with HQ Comms team to localise global PR strategy
Design high impact PR and thought leadership initiatives and deliver strong results to support our storytelling and brand building in Belgium
Lead the implementation of all local PR activities, including but not limited to on-site support for events involving media, proactive media pitching, managing inbound media requests, and ensuring consistency in coverage reporting
Proactive in seeking out media opportunities and proposing ideas to support and drive local storytelling
Monitor media coverage of Saxo and our propositions and provide regular reports to management
You are a strong writer who can write anything from an interesting media pitch note and byline articles to Linked In post copy for spokespeople
Plan, create, publish and share new content that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members to engage with Saxo
Collaborate with local and global teams to develop social media campaigns
As a member of the local team, you will also drive local engagement on internal communications channels and initiatives, and contribute towards building a positive culture in the office by embracing Saxo’s guiding principles: Create win-win, Apply common sense and Take ownership

What you will bring:

Fluency in French, Dutch and English
5years'+ experience as a PR manager or similar role, in agency or in-house, or in a newsroom as a reporter or content writer
Financial media relations experience with relevant network
Self-starter to identify opportunities and help build a plan, and execute
