Job Summary

As PRODUCTION MANAGER you are responsible for the daily management and coordination of the production and maintenance department. You will manage around 45 employees, with the shift supervisors reporting directly to you. The focus of this role is on People Management, where you will play a crucial role in the personal and professional development of the people in your team, so that the organization is lifted to a higher level. You will work in tandem with Taura's Continuous Improvement manager who will mainly focus on technical expertise, so that you can take on the organizational and structural aspects.

A selection of the tasks of your new job:

Organizing production activities by deploying people and resources as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Coaching employees and formulating and monitoring objectives together.
Ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations. For this you will work closely with the EHS manager.
Supporting the Continuous Improvement Manager in filling the (production-oriented) CI pipeline and monitoring the execution of CI projects.
Monitoring of production KPIs and adjusting processes where necessary.
Ensuring compliance with procedures, work instructions, safety and hygiene rules and other relevant procedures (BRC, HACCP, GMP) and/or legislation.
Encouraging cooperation between different teams and technical service and warehouse departments.
You are responsible for the budget within production and you monitor this closely.
You play a key role in communication between the production and maintenance department and the rest of the organization.

Your profile

You have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
You have at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role in an industrial environment, preferably in the food sector.
You speak excellent Dutch and English.
You have a 'hands on' mentality.
You are a real team player, but can also work independently.
You have a positive attitude and want to give it your all together with the entire team!
