What's in the name?
As a Sustainabilty & Procurement Manager you are based in Uentrop, Germany as regular presence
at the headquarter in Mechelen is required.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, your responsibility in this role is twofold:

1. Sustainability:
The Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing Everlam sustainability strategy and driving
related development/action plans, compliance reporting and advocacy activities. The job requires
working closely with the Everlam Europe business management team to develop opportunities for
existing and future business growth and supporting their sustainability related conversations with
customers and suppliers.

The Sustainability Manager advises Everlam senior management on legislative risks, GHG footprint
advocacy and risk mitigation. It also supports Everlam sustainability agenda, particularly in respect of
Product Carbon Footprint/ Life cycle assessment (LCA), by acting as a subject matter expert.

The key responsibilities include the following:
  • Monitor the European wide sustainability landscape to develop and deliver Company’s
    European sustainability/Environmental – Social – Governance (ESG) strategy.
  • Provide commercial and business support in the European organization in relation to ESG
    topics.
  • Suppliers Product Carbon footprint and Life cycle assessment analysis
  • Everlam Supply chain carbon footprint analysis
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact for Everlam’s suppliers and customers on sustainability/ESG
    matters
  • Further develop Everlam’s Social Responsibility framework/plans and ESG policies and
    positions according to regulations, customer’s needs and emerging trends.


2. Procurement:
On regular basis you’re in direct contact with our international suppliers and you act as a critical
liaison to ensure procurement processes are in line with the strategy for the GSSC businesses. In this
role you will work in partnership with Customer Services, Supply Chain and the leadership team to
deliver upon the satisfaction of our customers and 3rd party service providers.
The scope of the Procurement is, but not limited to:

o Raw materials
o Utilities
o Logistics
o Contracted services

The key responsibilities include the following:
  • Accountable for sourcing of commodities in scope by employing standard procurement processes via RFQ‘s
  • Accountable for developing state of the art procurement strategies i.e. multi sourcing, supplier development, risk management etc.
  • Establish and manage a network of vendors to deliver for the appointed categories. This includes:
    o screen new vendor possibilities
    o run RFQ’s
    o manage new vendor certification processes, including set up in internal systems
    o manage terms and conditions
    o maintain existing vendor portfolio
    o act as the owner of the company relationship with the vendors
    o develop understanding of the appointed categories with respect to market dynamics, business drivers and competitive landscape.
  • Accountable for design, implementation and execution of a Performance Management process (i.e., KPI, SLA) with the vendors
  • Accountable for management of the purchase orders and vendor contracts (including pricing, issue resolution, supply performance and terms and conditions)
  • Accountable for maintaining an accurate status of the contracts and resulting purchase orders.
Do I have what it takes?
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
  • A bachelor/master’s degree or equivalent from experience
  • Min 5 years of relevant experience in Sourcing roles, preferably in international Chemical companies
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic business environment
  • An eager-to-learn attitude and open to act on change
  • Have a Can-do mentality with excellent independent problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and pro-active personality
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record
  • Strong communication skills. Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with vendors.
  • Team Player. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with people across
    functions and regions.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute performance management processes (KPI’s).
  • Understanding of sustainability regulatory and legislative environment and future developments across Europe
  • Understanding, experience, and capability in LCA development, PEF assessment, associated methodologies (Together for Sustainability initiative), regulations, and standards, as well as GHG emission calculations and analysis.
  • Fluent in German and English
