We are seeking a Windows/Linux Systems Engineer with a strong background in server architecture, application deployment, and systems administration. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, eager to grow in a dynamic environment, and able to effectively troubleshoot complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:

• Server Architecture & Deployment: Assist in designing and deploying server architecture for new applications and middleware. This includes analyzing requirements, conducting Proof of Concepts (Po C), and collaborating with the team lead to implement solutions.
• Security & Manageability: Challenge requirements to ensure optimal security and manageability.
• Client Interface: Liaise with internal (mainly IT) clients in your area of expertise.
• Third-Line Troubleshooting: Handle third-line support for complex technical issues.
• Operational Tasks: Deploy and update in-house applications (primarily Windows IIS & SQL-based) across acceptance and production environments.
• Load Balancing: Configure F5 load balancing for web applications.
• Systems Administration: Manage core applications such as Rabbit MQ, Redis Cache, and other shared technologies (training available if needed).
• Security Compliance: Enforce and monitor security standards and guidelines.
• Environment Management: Oversee monitoring, patch management, and other changes within the environment.
• Support: Provide second and third-level support, including interfacing with vendors like Microsoft and other third-party providers.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date installation and operational documentation.
• On-Call Rotation: Participate in a 24/7 duty rotation (1 in every 6 weeks).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Linux (Red Hat): Proven experience with application deployment, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Windows Server: Extensive experience with Windows Server (2012-2019) administration (10+ years).
• IIS & Web Deployment: Strong expertise in managing IIS and deploying web applications.
• Networking & Security: Broad understanding of IT concepts, including networking, security, and ITIL practices.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Power Shell for automation and task scripting.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Knowledge of MS-SQL, Mongo DB, Rabbit MQ, NEO4J, or Redis Cache (on-the-job training will be provided).
• Familiarity with firewall configurations and network load balancing concepts (product-specific training available).

Non-Technical Skills:

• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Customer-oriented with a pragmatic mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proficiency with Visio.
• Ability and willingness to learn new products or technologies within one year.

Language Requirements:

• Native-level fluency in French or Dutch, with the ability to understand and communicate in the other language.
• English proficiency is required for documentation and international meetings. German is a plus.

Availability:

• Must be willing to participate in a duty role (24/7 on-call rotation, 1 week every 6 weeks).
