Principal Scientist (Specialist) – R&D Analytical EH/SH
This position will be based within São José dos Campos, Brazil.

What you will do
Kenvue is recruiting a Principal Scientist (Specialist) for R&D Analytical to be based in São José dos Campos, Brazil. This individual will be part of analytical team on LATAM Essential Health (EH) and Skin Health (SH) projects. The major responsibilities include supporting activities such as defining the analytical development and stability strategy, execution planning, timing, resource requirements and interdependencies to complete the project deliverables.
This individual will support analytical team and guarantee excellence in execution in all activities applied to Analytical and Stability Sciences in end to end (E2E) lifecycle management of new and existing products for EH and SH portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Support analytical/stability strategy and guarantee high technical rigors for all deliverables from analytical/stability team of projects and processes applied to Analytical R&D for Innovation Pipeline and Life Cycle Management of products in existing portfolio for LATAM.
Main activities related to this job include, but are not limited to:

• Test Method Development

• Test Method Validation and Transfer to Quality Control Labs

• Stability Studies to support new product development / existing products changes

• Assessment of technical strategy for the R&D projects, supporting and training scientists’ staff from Analytical and Stability teams

• Lead global and regional initiatives, driving impact to the business

• Be the technical expert for relevant matters, such as new TMs introduction, stability community of practices, nitrosamines, analytical investigations, among others.

• Assessment of internal processes identifying opportunities and implementing improvements such as: organization of activities, redistribution of tasks, reduction of lead time and rework.

Qualifications
What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemistry Engineering or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. MBA or master’s/Ph D degree will be considered as a differential.

• At least 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry in Analytical environment, preferably as R&D Scientist/Analyst

• A strong analytical background in HPLC, UPLC, GC and other analytical techniques is required.

• Experience with method validation, analytical transfer, stability studies is required.

• Experience with stability studies is highly desirable.

• Advanced / Fluent level of English is required.

This position will be based within São José dos Campos, Brazil.
