Senior Mobile Engineer
LOCATION/GEOGRAPHY:

R&D Manager
Role summary:
As a Senior Mobile Engineer at Vingcard, you will be instrumental in maintaining and developing new features for our native i OS and Android applications. With your extensive experience in mobile development, particularly in Swift and Kotlin, you will ensure the continuous enhancement of our mobile platforms. This role will involve leading the implementation of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to improve app quality and reliability. You will also contribute to the integration of Io T devices and may explore hybrid mobile development using Flutter or React Native.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain native i OS and Android applications.
- Implement new features and functionalities on the Athos mobile apps.
- Design and execute automated tests to ensure the reliability and performance of mobile applications.
- Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
- Lead initiatives to integrate Io T devices with mobile applications, enhancing product capabilities.
- Explore and possibly implement hybrid mobile development using Flutter or React Native as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in mobile apps, ensuring minimal downtime and high user satisfaction.

- Work closely with Product Managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with Designers to create intuitive, user-friendly mobile interfaces.
- Engage with other Engineers to solve technical challenges and share best practices.
- Interface with Quality Assurance teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of mobile applications.

- Authority to make technical decisions regarding the design and architecture of mobile applications.
- Access to development tools, version control systems, and other resources necessary for mobile app development.
- Responsibility for the timely and high-quality delivery of mobile features and improvements.
- Authority to mentor junior developers and guide them in best practices for mobile development.
- Reporting to the R&D Manager for project updates, technical decisions, and career development matters.
Internal and External Contacts/Customers:
- Regular collaboration with internal teams, including Product Management, Design, and Software Engineering.
- Occasional engagement with external stakeholders, such as technology partners.
Key competencies, Relevant Knowledge, skills and compet Encies:
- Expertise in native i OS and Android development, with deep knowledge of Swift (for i OS) and Kotlin (for Android).
- Experience in integrating Io T devices with mobile applications.
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mobile app issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with an eagerness to learn new technologies like Flutter or React Native.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mobile app development, with a focus on native i OS and Android platforms.
- Extensive experience with Kotlin and Swift, with a preference for Android development expertise.
- Experience with Io T devices and hybrid mobile frameworks (Flutter/React Native) is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
Languages:
Proficiency in English and Brazilian Portuguese, both written and verbal.
Computer skills:
- Proficiency in development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in Swift and Kotlin, with familiarity in hybrid frameworks like Flutter or React Native.
Other Experience:
- Senior Mobile Engineer or equivalent position in a software development environment.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers.
- Minimum 7 years experience.

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a drive to take initiative and lead mobile projects.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and best practices in mobile development.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a passion for learning and implementing new technologies.
Expected outcome and deliverables:
Over the next 3-5 years, the Senior Mobile Engineer will significantly enhance the Athos mobile applications by implementing robust features, automated testing, and efficient CI/CD pipelines. The role will contribute to the integration of Io T devices, potentially explore hybrid mobile development, and drive the overall quality and performance of the apps. These efforts will solidify Athos's position as a leader in innovative mobile solutions, with noticeable improvements in app reliability, user satisfaction, and market competitiveness.
