Responsibilities

• Researching, writing, and proofreading a wide range of engaging content for internal and external audiences, including articles, social media posts, website content, news releases, project profiles, executive communications, and proposal narratives.
• Coordinating the development and execution of projects/initiatives, as assigned.
• Developing and maintaining strong customer-focused relationships with our internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring, measuring, and analyzing engagement on traditional and social media platforms.
• Working collaboratively with the Marketing Manager to develop creative visual content.
• Supporting the ideation, planning and execution of district events.
• Consistently applying PCL Construction’s branding to communication deliverables.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or diploma in journalism, communications or equivalent.
• A proficient writer with excellent proofreading skills and a high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of various communication media.
• A team player with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and take initiative in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• A critical thinker with sound decision making skills.
• Ability to research, analyze and organize information accurately and effectively.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• We will consider it an asset if you have previous:
• Photography, video production, and graphic design experience.
• Co-op/Intern experience.
