Crack Filler / Taper
Kent Homes is seeking for a skilled and experienced Crack Filler to join our dynamic team in Bouctouche, N.B.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Bouctouche, NB. The primary language of work is English.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying crack fill and joint compound on drywall surfaces, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality throughout the construction process. This role requires strong construction skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply joint compound on drywall surfaces, including walls and ceilings, to fill gaps, cracks, and imperfections, ensuring smooth and seamless finishes.
• Operate a variety of hand held and power tools
• Clean and prepare surfaces by removing loose materials, dust and debris
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials, ensuring a smooth and even application, and sand areas to ensure a seamless finish
• Apply tape to drywall joints and seams
• Other tasks/responsibilities will be a part of each job being assisted by a supervisor
• Secure work station each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ of experience in crack filling and drywall taping techniques;
• Experience in construction is an asset
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
• High School Diploma or GED, Trade Certification or equivalent relevant experience
