Overview

This position mainly consists of washing dishes, glasses and utensils as well as cleaning various areas and doing basic food prep as directed by the Food & Beverage supervisors. The Janitor is responsible for keeping Castle Mountain Resort’s buildings in clean and orderly condition, taking care of the resort’s general cleanliness and to provide tidy and sanitary amenities for guests and residents. Their duties include cleaning floors, cleaning bathrooms, washing walls, windows, and doors, and removing garbage. Ski and ride breaks are a regular part of the work week, and you ski or ride for free on your days off!

What We Offer You:

Full mountain ski/snowboard pass

$15.75/hr starting wage, plus tips

Full time seasonal 30-40hr/week, Generally working 5 - 8 hour shifts. Overtime opportunities may exist during busy periods.

This is a seasonal position starting early December to April, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glasses and utensils.

Clean various areas in need as requested

Empty garbage bins as needed in all areas of the kitchen and service area.

Ensure appropriate levels of chemicals required for dishwashing machine.

Keep floor clean during service.

Assist in bussing service tables when required

Help unload delivery trucks.

Contribute to shift clean up at end of day.

Assist the Food & Beverage team as required at any given time.

Participate in basic food preparation

Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and polishing

Ensuring all resort facilities are cared for and inspected according to standards

Notifying managers/supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances

Adhering strictly to rules regarding health and safety, and being aware of and following all company-related practices

Perform daily cleaning duties; Vacuum, clean, dust all areas of the Castle Mountain facilities, complete cleaning of all lavatories and emptying garbages.

Fill all paper towels, toiletry dispensers and refilling soap dispensers.

Proper labelling, dilution, and use of chemicals

Promote and maintain a safe work environment including use of proper PPE.

Must maintain order and cleanliness in the dish area.

Qualifications

Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Previous dishwashing experience in a restaurant or cafeteria is an asset

Weekend, Daytime, Evening and Overtime as required.

Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Walking and standing for extended periods.

Manual dexterity required.
