Job #4737– Our client is looking for an independent and experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join them on a full-time basis! Reporting to the VP, Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting in this fast-paced environment. This position is well suited for a professional who is detail-oriented and enjoys a wide range of responsibilities. As the only accountant in the organization, you will be responsible for everything from A to Z. The main responsibilities include:

• Process bi-weekly payroll, maintain related documentation and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare customer invoices, and manage receipts and payments
• Act as lead for audits and liaise with auditors
• Assist with month-end and quarterly close processes
• Process accounts payable and vendor payments
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
• Process employee expenses and bank reconciliations
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Formal accounting education
• 5+ years progressive experience, including full cycle, month-end statements and reporting/analysis
• Tech savvy with strong Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Definite Assets:

• Payroll experience, preferably with ADP
• Quick Books Online
