Job #4737– Our client is looking for an independent and experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join them on a full-time basis! Reporting to the VP, Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting in this fast-paced environment. This position is well suited for a professional who is detail-oriented and enjoys a wide range of responsibilities. As the only accountant in the organization, you will be responsible for everything from A to Z. The main responsibilities include:

Process bi-weekly payroll, maintain related documentation and resolve any discrepancies
Prepare customer invoices, and manage receipts and payments
Act as lead for audits and liaise with auditors
Assist with month-end and quarterly close processes
Process accounts payable and vendor payments
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
Process employee expenses and bank reconciliations
Other duties as needed

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

Formal accounting education
5+ years progressive experience, including full cycle, month-end statements and reporting/analysis
Tech savvy with strong Excel skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Definite Assets:

Payroll experience, preferably with ADP
Quick Books Online

How you will be rewarded:

$75,000 – $85,000 annual salary range
