Position Summary
Supervisor, Accounts Payable
Coordinate Accounts Payable function including supervision of 3 staff, daily review of invoices processed, coordinate and manage cheque runs, manage issues with vendors as well as buyers, review of month end and year end accruals. This position reports to Accounting Manager. All roles are essential in providing a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and others by ensuring that health and safety policies are followed.
On a practical level, you will
- Responsible for resolving all vendor issues and ensuring timely payment of invoices.
- Responsible for overseeing the reconciliation of supplier statements and trade related accruals (including
- Responsible for reviewing VISA statements and employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with Broader Public Sector guidelines.
- Responsible for overseeing cheque runs and ensuring internal control procedures are followed.
- Responsible for month end and year end accruals and reporting relating to trade accounts payable.
- Takes the lead role in projects impacting Accounts Payable.
- Responsible for training and coaching Accounts Payable clerks.
- 5 years or more experience within Accounts Payable function.
- Experience with hospital related purchasing and vendors.
- SAP experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lead projects and coach staff.
- Well-organized and accurate.
- Ability to plan and work within deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

This is a Full Time Temporary position (18 Months) working 8 hour shifts, days shifts in the Finance Department located at 2 Buchan Court.
