Tax Manager

Reporting to the Senior Director, Taxation, your main mandate as Head of Canadian Taxation will be to manage the functions related to Canadian tax compliance by ensuring that the company meets all its tax obligations, according to the laws in force, with regard to Canadian corporate taxes and the company's Canadian sales taxes.

Responsibilities :
  • Supervise the production of Canadian tax returns, analyze tax components to identify tax positions at risk and communicate planning elements;
  • Plan, organize, direct and control with the assistance of the Senior Manager, Special Tax Projects the management of government audits in matters of Canadian corporate taxes and Canadian sales taxes (Canada-United States);
  • Provide Canadian sales tax and tax support to all departments (finance, sales, legal, etc.) of the company;
  • Ensure compliance with tax compliance requirements for all group companies in terms of Canadian sales taxes;


Professional experience and qualifications :
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in accounting and hold a professional designation of CA, CGA or CMA;
  • You have experience in personnel management;
  • You hold a master's degree in taxation or have completed the ICCA course (In- Depth tax course);
  • You have more than eight (8) years of experience in taxation;
  • Having at least three (3) years of experience in a large company is an asset;
  • You demonstrate in-depth knowledge of US GAAP with respect to the accounting for deferred taxes;
  • Having experience in sales taxes is an asset;
  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in French and English
  • You have knowledge of the following software : Taxprep , Taxnet pro, Excel and Word;
